Frequently Asked Questions about the Abba.ph Apply Online System

  1. Do I really need to use the Abba.ph Apply Online System?

Yes, you really need to If you’re an Abba applicant. ALL applicants of Abba Personnel Services,
Inc. are required to create an account in the Abba.ph Apply Online System for the company’s
monitoring purposes. Additionally, having an account will allow you to apply to any of our
vacancies and monitor the status of your application, wherever or whenever you want.

  2. When should I create an account in the System?

It is ideal for you to create an account AND complete your Application Form before you proceed
to our Ortigas office for an initial face-to-face interview. Proceeding to your face-to-face
interview without an account or with a partially accomplished Application Form will eat up a lot
of your time since a) accomplishing the Application Form will also take time and b) you might
have to wait in line since we have a limited number of computer stations at our Ortigas office.

  3. Can I skip some of the fields in the Sign-Up Sheet at https://applicant.abba.ph/sign-up?

The Sign-Up Sheet contains the most basic information that Abba has to know for your account
to be relevant for pre-screening. Given this, you will not be allowed to proceed to account
creation if you have missed answering a field. If you do, a note will tell you which field you’ve
    missed answering.

One item that we’ve exempted from this rule is the resume upload. We are allowing this at the
start due to the high possibility that you have not updated your resume yet.

  4. How many accounts can I create for myself?

You are only allowed to create up to one (1) account in the System. Creating more than one (1)
account will be confusing for both you and Abba. It may also affect your assessment moving
    forward.

  5. I’ve completed all of the fields in the Sign-Up Sheet but cannot proceed to creating an account.
    How come?

There are various reasons why you won’t be able to proceed to creating an account. Some of
    them are as follows:

    a. You have missed answering a field. The System will indicate which particular field(s) you’ve missed.
    b. You have incorrectly answered a field. The System will indicate which particular field(s) you’ve incorrectly answered.
    c. You already created an account before. The System can detect this when you use the same:

    • full name
    • email address
    • phone number.

Kindly use your original account since having multiple accounts is not allowed by the System.

  6. Can I skip some of the fields or steps in the Application Form?

The Application Form, unlike the Sign-Up Sheet, contains more comprehensive information
about your background and credentials. Since accomplishing it can take some time and some
information might not be readily available to you, you will be allowed to leave certain fields
    unanswered.

However, make sure you that you completely accomplish the Application Form BEFORE your
initial face-to-face interview. Completely accomplished Application Forms get much faster
feedback than incomplete ones because they give our Recruiters an extensive idea about your
background. Additionally, proceeding to your face-to-face interview without an account or with
a partially accomplished Application Form will eat up a lot of your time since a) accomplishing
the Application Form will also take time and b) you might have to wait in line since we have a
limited number of computer station at our Ortigas office.

  7. I’ve completed my Application Form and I’m about to browse through Abba’s vacancies. Why do
some vacancies have green check marks while others don’t?

To make it easier for you, the System uses certain Vacancy Filters to narrow down the vacancies
available to you. Vacancy Filters that the System uses are:

    1. Minimum Education Required
    2. Last Date of Employment
    3. Religion
    4. Gender

When a vacancy has a green check mark, it means that you are allowed to apply to it because
you qualify in terms of these 4 factors. When a vacancy does not have a green check mark, it
means that you are not allowed to apply to it because you do not qualify in even just one (1) of
    the abovementioned factors.

This way, you can be assured that your application will at least be for vacancies that match your
minimum education, last date of employment, religion and gender. Though a vacancy will
always have other qualifications in addition to these (ie: bed capacity of your hospital, length of
work experience), such filters can make your application more efficient.

  8. I’ve completed my Application Form and I’m about to apply to a vacancy I like.
Why doesn’t it have a blue “Apply to Vacancy” button in the Vacancy Details page?

Similar to number 7, this can still be attributed to the 4 Vacancy Filters that the System uses.
When a vacancy has a blue “Apply to Vacancy” button in its Details page, it means that you are
allowed to apply to it because you qualify in terms of these 4 factors. When a vacancy does not have
a blue “Apply to Vacancy” button in its Details page, it means that you are not allowed to
apply to it because you do not qualify in even just one (1) of the abovementioned factors.
This way, you can be assured that your application will at least be for vacancies that match your
minimum education, last date of employment, religion and gender. Though a vacancy will
always have other qualifications in addition to these (ie: bed capacity of your hospital, length of
work experience), such filters can make your application more efficient.

  9. Up to how many vacancies can I submit my application to?

As respect to our employers, you are only allowed to apply to one (1) Abba vacancy at a time.
This signifies your commitment to the employer so that issuing you a job offer won’t be put to
waste in the end. If the employer does not give you a job offer, you will be allowed to apply to
    another Abba vacancy.

An exemption to this rule is if you are applying for a U.S. vacancy on an E.B.-3 Immigrant Visa.
Since processing this usually takes years, you are allowed to apply to a second vacancy if you
have this kind of application. This should still be approved by both the U.S. Recruiter and the
second vacancy Recruiter to ensure that the timing of your deployments will be effectively
    managed.

  10. I’ve applied to a vacancy and it currently shows an Application Status. What does an Applied;
Selected; Approved; or Deployed Application Status mean?

An Application with an “Applied” status means that you have expressed an interest in the
specific vacancy, but the Recruiter has not pre-qualified it yet.

An Application with a “Selected” status means that the Recruiter of the vacancy that you’ve
applied to has pre-qualified your Application and has reserved it for the specific vacancy.

An Application with an “Approved” status means that the Employer of the vacancy that you’ve
applied to has approved you for the position through a Job Offer.

An Application with a “Deployed” status means that you have already been sent abroad for the
specific vacancy that you’ve applied to.

  11. I’ve applied to a vacancy before and now I couldn’t see my application at all in my account’s
    home page. What happened?

If an Application is not showing in your account’s home page anymore, it means that the
Recruiter has released your Application to Active File. This means that you did not qualify for
the position for certain reason / s. You may use the provided Contact Details of the vacancy that
you’ve applied to to get clarification, but for your reference, these are some of the most popular
    reason/s:

    Reason Examples
    1. Unqualified personal factor
    • Gender
    • Religion
    • Citizenship (ie: not a Filipino citizen)
    2. Unqualified educational factor
    • Educational level attained
    • Course graduated from
    3. Unqualified licensure / employment factor
    • Licensure (ie: no license, incorrect license)
    • Length of work experience
    • Type of work experience (ie: no local experience, luntary work only, non-acute care hospital experience, non-health care experience)
    • Facility where the work experience was acquired (ie: low bed capacity, not a hospital, hospital doesn’t have the required classification / accreditation)
    4. Currently working abroad Face-to-face interviews are almost always required for all of Abba’s vacancies. In the rare times that they’re not, you should be able to resign from your current overseas work in at most one (1) month from the date of the application.
    5. Applied to another agency Your application for the same position and employer through another agency (prior to Abba) can be detected at times. Since you can only have one agency at a time, you will not be allowed to apply to Abba anymore.
    6. Incomplete information You have not completed your Application Form so Abba doesn’t have sufficient information to even pre-qualify you.
    7. Unreachable mobile phone number or email address You have provided an unreachable mobile phone number or email address that’s why the Recruiter couldn’t even contact you for any further questions / concerns about your application.

Make sure you check ALL of the the information in the Vacancy Details page first before
applying. More often than not, the answer to this question is already indicated there.

  12. I couldn’t apply to ANY of Abba’s vacancies right now: None of them have green check marks
AND blue “Apply to Vacancy” buttons for me. What happened?

If you couldn’t apply to ANY of Abba’s vacancies, then it’s most likely because you have been
    blacklisted, or barred from submitting an application. You may contact (+63)2 8584-8215 / (+63)2 8554-0556 / (+63)2 8234-5833
1324 / recruitment@abba.ph to know more about this, but for your reference, these are the
most popular reason / s for blacklisting:

    a. Did not attend a client interview that you have committed to
    b. Did not honor a signed job offer
    c. Applied to another Abba vacancy
    d. Falsified information or documents

  13. I forgot my password. What should I do?

You can go to https://applicant.abba.ph/log-in, then click on the blue “Forgot password?” link at
the bottom of the log-in fields. You will then be asked to input your email in a certain field. Once
you’ve inputted it, click the blue “Request new password” button at the bottom. Log-in to your
email account then look for an email from abba.ph. Here, you will be given a link that will allow
you to change your password. Type in your new password in the two fields, then click the blue
“Change Password” button at the bottom. This should bring you back to the Log-In page where
you can already use your new password to log-in.

  14. I’ve accidentally applied to a vacancy that I do not like. How can I cancel my application to that
vacancy so that I can apply to another one instead?

You have to be extra careful when it comes to choosing a vacancy to apply to because you can
only cancel your application through contacting Abba. You can do this by using the Contact
    Details in the Vacancy Details page or calling (+63)2 8584-8215 / (+63)2 8554-0556 / (+63)2 8234-5833
